Competitive Zombie Game – UI/UX Design
About the Project ZURVIVE is a chaotic, fast-paced zombie arena developed under the playful world of Taitiko, a brand famous for its mischievous cartoon characters, explosive humor, and troll-like personality. My goal was to translate that energetic identity into a UI that felt bold, expressive, and instantly readable during intense, arcade-style gameplay. The project combined colorful characters, over-the-top animations, and a skill-based progression system designed to motivate quick decision-making.

Challenge
With dozens of enemies on screen, rapid upgrades, and constant movement, the UI needed to communicate information in fractions of a second without overwhelming the player. Each skill icon, button state, and feedback cue had to stand out clearly while still matching ZURVIVE’s loud, comedic personality. Balancing readability with the brand’s chaos-driven art direction became the core challenge—especially when designing skill cards and HUD elements meant to be understood at a glance during combat.
My Role
I defined the visual direction of the UI and built a scalable component system for skills, upgrades, HUD elements, and reward screens. I crafted over a dozen ability icons, each with unique silhouettes and color coding to support instant recognition. I focused heavily on game feel: punchy highlights, responsive states, and animation-driven feedback that reinforced the rhythm of shooting, upgrading, and surviving. The result is a UI that amplifies the frantic energy of Taitiko Arena while remaining intuitive, polished, and fun to navigate.
